Marshall, Williams defend Schools 5k title
Trinidad Express :: 14.11.2013Top school distance runners Akeem Marshal, Ashton Gill, Dominique Williams, Elia Nero and Delicia Antoine will line up for the Secondary Schools 5K Classic on Sunday at 2.30 p.m.
The annual event begins at The Cove, formerly known as Chacacabana and will end at Bowen Platform, opposite the Military Museum.
The entire event will be run on the Western Main Road in Chaguaramas.
Top national and distance athletes will be competing, headed by champion Marshal of Toco Composite who is expected to be challenged by Gill of Mucurapo Senior Comprehensive.
On the girls’ side, defending champion Williams as well as Toco athletes Nero and Antoine are expected to dominate
A total of 400 athletes from schools across the country have registered to compete.
