Marshall to defend 5k Classic crown

AKEEM MARSHALL will be defending his Secondary Schools 5k Classic title today, when the 2013 edition takes place at the Western Main Road in Chaguaramas.

Marshall, of Toco Composite, will be expecting stiff competition from Ashton Gill of East Mucurapo, while Elia Nero and Delicia Antoine of Toco will be seeking to capture the women’s title (which was claimed by Dominique Williams last year). A total of 400 students are expected to compete in the race, which starts at 2.30 pm at The Cove and ends at Bowen Platform, opposite the Museum.
