Secondary schools 5k set for tomorrow

The Secondary Schools 5K Classic will be held tomorrow at 2.30pm. The annual event begins at The Cove formerly known as Chacacabana and will end at Bowen Platform, opposite the Museum. The entire event will be run on the Western Main Road in Chaguaramas.

Top national and distance athletes will be competing, headed by champion Akeem Marshal of Toco Composite. He will again be challenged by Ashton Gill of Mucurapo Senior Comprehensive.

The girls could see Toco athletes again dominating through Elia Nero and Delicia Antoine.

Some 400 athletes from school in T&T have registered to compete.

Last year the girls’ category was won by Dominique Williams.
