The World Athletics (WA) formerly IAAF Kids' Athletics Programme is one of the largest grassroots development programmes in the world of sports. The WA Kids' Athletics aims to ensure a steady and sustainable policy of development of the sport of Athletics. The aim of which is to introduce children to Athletics at a basic level by encouraging children of primary-school age to become active especially in this era of internet and video games. The vision of the National Association of Athletics Administrations (NAAA) is for track and field to be recognized as the premier sport in Trinidad and Tobago. To achieve this objective a comprehensive sporting development programme for junior athletes in Trinidad and Tobago was conceptualized in the National Elite Youth Track and Field Programme. Scotiabank NAAATT Deon Lendore Bursary Programme

The Deon Lendore Bursary Programme is an NAAATT initiative, sponsored by the Scotiabank Foundation that is aimed at providing deserving, young athletes with support to assist them in realizing their academic and sporting goals. The Programme is named after Deon Lendore, one of Trinidad and Tobago's best quarter-milers, who died in a vehicular accident in January 2022. Read More See Article
