Gloria Henry picked up five medals on the final day of the National Gas Company (NGC)/ National Association of Athletics Administrations of T&T (NAAATT) Juvenile Championships, to help RSS Phoenix emerge as the champion team, yesterday.

RSS Phoenix tallied 461 points to lead the combined team scores after 51 events in the two-day meet held at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Mucurapo, Port-of-Spain, to win ahead of first-day leader Zenith with 373 and third was Cougars with 204.

Henry nabbed three gold medals, a silver and a bronze in the Girls' Under-11 category, to add to her four medals (one, gold, two silver, one bronze) won on the opening day, Saturday.

She topped the 300m hurdles with a time of 47.72 to finish ahead of clubmate Nashequa Samuel with 49.65 and IG Fastlane's J'Lenne Roberts with 54.00, respectively. In the high jump, her 1.05m leap saw her reach the top of the podium ahead of second-placed Nailah Joseph (Mason Hall) with 1.05m and Samuel with 1.02m.

Her third first-place finish was in the ball throw, winning with 26.45m. Roberts was second with 23.75m and in third spot was Samuel with a 20.03m-toss.

Henry also copped silver in the 150m with 22.20 behind winner Abilene Wildcats' Kaley Wiltshire in 22.09 and ahead of Analeez Mussio, another Abilene Wildcats athlete, with 22.61.

She then helped Rss Phoenix bag bronze in the Girls 1,000m sprint medley (1x2x3x4). Henry partnered with Samuel, Serenity Nancis and Kenya Muir to cross in 2:50.36, respectively behind Zenith's quartet of Xiah Tobias, Daija Reid, Maliyah Cupid and Toniyah Boucher (2:35.30) and Burnley's Destiny Arnold, Janae Stoute, Jael Peters and Reniece Smith (2:47.15)

The day before, she won gold in the 800m (2:50.33), silver in the long jump (3.20m) and mixed 4x100m (1:01.30) and bronze in 80m (11.57).

Michal Paul continued his amazing showing in the U-13 category for Concorde at the Juvenile meet, adding three more medals to his already impressive collection from the opening day when he claimed three gold medals.

On the final day, he won theÊ300m hurdles with a 49.50-clocking to beat Rss Phoenix pair Niyelle Alleyne (52.89) and Donnell Stewart (55.20), to the line respectively.

He copped silver in both the 800m and 200m. In the half lap, he followed Jayden Goodridge (25.84) of Burnley to the line with 26.13 and finished in front of Josiah Rogers (Cougars) with 26.43.

In the longer distance, Paul trailed J'Dani Williams (Rss Phoenix), who won with 2:32.49. Niyelle Alleyne (Rss Phoenix) was the bronze medallist with 2:45.04.

On Saturday, Paul won gold in the high jump (1.48m), 80m hurdles (13.13) and 400m (1:05.00).
